  • WHAT WE DO

    Our unique and innovative Theatre Workshops for young people age 8 - 16 years encourage students to explore all aspects of performance and play-making including acting, writing, devising, directing, design, production and stage management. All work performed by the students is original work created by the students and is performed in both traditional and site-specific locations.

    More than a drama class a - fully immersive experience.

    Our drama workshops for adults are designed to build confidence and self esteem. Participants are guided to develop transferable life-skills in areas such as public speaking and presenting.

    High quality, small classes allow us to focus on the individual, guiding each student to reach their full potential in a very supportive, fun and lively environment.

    Whether you want to learn new skills, build self-confidence and self-esteem, express your creativity, or meet new people whilst being creative, we've got the class for you.

    Our teachers are dedicated, passionate about the arts, specialist in their field, widely experienced professionals working within the theatre and film industry.

    We believe that everybody is creative and that expressing creativity enriches lives and is fundamental to wellbeing and happiness.

    Our goal is to provide the most enjoyable, effective acting classes in the Brighton and Hove area.

    WHO WE ARE

    Course Director Joy Forsythe L.L.S.M., MA (Theatre)
    Joy is an Acting Teacher and Director with over 25 years experience. Passionate about the power of Drama she equally enjoys working with professional actors and students of all ages within the community. Joy started her theatre career at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin. She then went on to work as a freelance actor, later becoming Director, Acting Coach and Principal of the prestigious Irish Academy of Dramatic Arts 2000 - 2010. She has worked as a guest teacher and director for local Drama schools in Brighton and Hove and spends her summers working for the renowned Oxbridge Academic Program teaching drama and directing Shakespeare with international students at Oriel College Oxford.
